How Does It Work?

What to Expect

Considering therapy for the first time can feel overwhelming, and that's perfectly normal. At MsPsychGV, I strive to create a process that is clear, supportive, and tailored to your needs.

  • Individual Therapy

    • Our journey begins with an intake session (50 minutes), where we'll discuss your current challenges, goals, and the outcomes you're seeking through therapy. Together, we'll design a personalized plan to address your concerns and guide you toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being. Follow-up sessions are structured to support your progress and provide actionable steps for lasting change. ​

  • Single-Session Therapy​ (SST)

    • If you're seeking quick clarity on a specific issue, Single-Session Therapy (60 minutes) offers a focused, one-time solution. There's no intake session - simply complete a short pre-session questionnaire to help pinpoint your concerns. During the session, we'll work intensively to explore your challenge and create actionable solutions you can implement immediately. ​

  • What You Can Expect During Your Therapy Journey: ​

    1. Clarity: Gain a deeper understanding of your concerns and the tools to address them. ​

    2. Support: A safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. 

    3. Actionable Solutions: Practical steps to help you move forward, whether through ongoing therapy or a single session. 

    4. Flexibility: Choose the format that suits your needs - comprehensive individual therapy or a one-time session for immediate guidance. 

Costs​​

  • Individual Therapy:

    • Intake Session: €100 (50 minutes) ​

    • Ongoing Therapy Sessions: €125 per session (50 minutes each)

  • Single-Session Therapy (SST): €180 (60 minutes)

    • Includes a pre-session questionnaire to ensure we focus on a specific objective during the session. SST is ideal if you're seeking quick clarity and actionable solutions for one particular challenge.

 

Note: For cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows, the full session fee will apply.

Insurance

Therapy costs may be partially or fully reimbursed depending on your insurance policy. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm what is covered. 

For clients living in the Netherlands:

As of March 2025, having achieved the VPMW registration under the NFG, clients may receive reimbursements through supplementary health insurance. For more information on possible reimbursements, refer to the NFG website for more information - Insurance Reimbursement Information

Waiting Times

I understand the importance of timely support and aim to keep waiting times as short as possible:

  • Single-Session Therapy (SST): Appointments are available within 5 working days. 

  • Individual Therapy: Appointments for online sessions are available within 7 working days.

📌 What’s the difference between Single-Session Therapy (SST) and Ongoing Therapy? 📌 I need help, but I don't know where to start. What should I do? That’s completely okay. Many people come to therapy unsure of what they need—but that’s exactly what I help with. In our first session, we’ll explore what’s going on and identify the best path forward for you.

📌 What happens in the first session? The first session is all about you—your challenges, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll ask some guiding questions to understand your current situation, and together, we’ll decide on the best approach. If you choose ongoing therapy, we’ll outline a plan to work through your challenges over time. If you opt for Single-Session Therapy (SST), we’ll focus on finding immediate clarity and solutions for your specific concern.

📌 Is therapy confidential? Yes. Confidentiality is a top priority in all therapy sessions. What we discuss stays between us, except in cases where I am legally required to break confidentiality (such as serious harm to yourself or others). If you have concerns about privacy, we can discuss them in your first session.
